Emergency on-line resources

While Covid-19 restrictions continue, it is not possible for SIPTU College to offer all of its normal training in the classroom. We recognise however that some training or at least briefings could be provided online. We have managed to deliver Committee training, staff training and some of our Trade Union Studies modules via Microsoft Teams. We can also deliver short, introductory sessions and we are working on others. If you are a newly elected workplace representative or part of a union committee who could do with some help, please ask your organiser to contact us or you can e-mail us directly here

We have prepared a video briefing for shop stewards on the provisions of the Return to Work Safely Protocol which you can access below:

Return to Work Safely Protocol – briefing for shop stewards

And here for Latvian…

Droša atgriešanās darbā – nacionālais protokols COVID-19 Šo video ir sagatavojusi SIPTU koledža, lai sniegtu Jums nepieciešamo informāciju sakarā ar Covid-19 drošības pasākumiem kuri jāievēro darba vietās. Slaidi ir tulkoti latviešu valodā, savukārt balss ir angļu valodā.

Skills for Work – Career Preparation with the ETB

SIPTU College has an ongoing collaboration with City of Dublin ETB whereby they offer their Skills for Work programme at SIPTU College. Like all of our other courses, that programme is currently suspended. ETB does however offer SIPTU members free online training for those who are about to be made redundant. This is a short course offered over a few weeks and will help you with searching for work; application forms, CVs and interviews. For more information see our brochure here and if you are interested, please contact your SIPTU Organiser and ask to be nominated to the course.

We hope to provide other materials here soon, so check back every now and again.

Stay safe!!
